About Canyon Racers

Update....Yes....We are still open (and VERY busy), however, as of December 1st 2009 we are only providing services for private customers and other shops. We are no longer open to the public.

For info, please fill out the request form on this page.

Canyon Racers opened in 2002 in Reche Canyon, Ca. when shop owner Mike Painter got sick of building race motors for his buddies for free!

Since then our focus has been to build the best race bikes we could...and then try to destroy them and figure out how to build them even better. From motocross and desert racing to flat track and road racing the guys at our shop have the experience to set up any bike for any use. Add the countless hours of testing on our DynoJet Dyno and it all adds up to very fast, very durable race bikes.

With Mike Painter having over 17 years of experience (and backed by renowned engine builder Jim Wood W/ 30+ years experience) we specialize in performance motor work, 2 and 4 stroke tuning, suspension tuning, and precision wheel building. We even build vintage bikes!!
